Is Reese’s Fast Break one of the best candy bars?

The Reese’s Fast Break is one of those candy bars that you either know about and love more than life or that you’ve never heard of. I was lucky enough to be around when it was first introduced and know the Fast Break’s amazingness.

The bar consists of peanut butter and chocolate nougat and is covered in milk chocolate. With these ingredients, it’s impossible for this candy bar to be bad. You have the classic combo of chocolate and peanut butter. Add in some nougat and it all works together.

The Reese’s Fast Break was first introduced in late 2001 in the U.S. It was also available in Canada but it went by the name Hershey Sidekick. When the bar first came out, it had blue packaging with orange letters.

A couple of years later, Hershey’s reversed the colors so the packaging was orange much like its other Reese’s products. With this change, they also amped up the peanut butter flavor too.

Unfortunately, Reese’s Fast Break is also, another candy bar that is still around but is very hard to find. You can order a box of them on Amazon or find them in a party mix with other Reese’s candy, but they really aren’t available in many other places. So if you find one, grab it while you can!
