Everybody loves Oreo, right? It’s also pretty safe to say that there is a high population of Pokemon lovers out there in the world too, right?

Any way you have it, one of America’s favorite sandwich cookies is about to combine forces with one of the most popular anime and video game properties to create one fiery cookie worth catching (I mean, you gotta catch ’em all)!

Before going further: what do YOU think this Oreo Pokémon collab will be like?

At the end of June 2021, this whole Pokemon and Oreo collab was announced, but as of now hasn’t yet gone officially live (but will be this Summer).

Here’s all that we know:

  • The design is yet to be confirmed, but fans of both the treat and the cartoon are speculating that Pokémon designs will have a presence on the cookies themselves
  • The announcement tweet on Twitter (which we will share down below) used the leaf emoji (for Bulbasaur), the fire emoji (for Charmander), and the water drop emoji (for Squirtle), in order to represent the three Starter Pokémon characters
  • This announcement isn’t totally and completely random: Pokémon’s 25th anniversary is in the midst of all of this; in fact, there will even be a Pokémon 25 album with some brand new songs, including one by Katie Perry
  • Following the release of these ‘brand new’ cookies in September, in October of 2021, a Pokemon Trading Card Game Celebration expansion to honor the series will be released, offering new versions of classic (older) cards

So, with all of this being said, I think that it’s pretty safe to say or speculate that fans of both the cookies and the cartoons will be satisfied and certainly left with a sweet tooth after all of this!
