While there are some Starbucks menu items that we love and wait for all year long, for Christmas in July, we turn to the iconic secret menu for inspiration and deliciousness.

Thanks to PureWow, we were reminded of some classic Starbucks holiday drinks that we love to indulge with around the holidays, but one of the drinks they recommended, isn’t actually on the official menu. Instead, it is a Frappuccino created by the magicians of the secret menu, the people at Totally the Bomb.

Inspired by Santa Claus himself, this Christmas-y drink is perfect for Christmas in July since it is a frozen drink. It is also a simple one, only needing two things to make magic happen.

So what is this secret menu Frappuccino? It’s the Santa Claus Frappuccino and it is all about the red and white of Santa’s Christmas look!

Christmas in July at Starbucks means looking to the secret menu for inspiration

So what is this Frappuccino? Well, it’s basically a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino off the regular menu with strawberry syrup swirled in the vanilla. (Whenever I have ordered this, it is not strawberry syrup, but rather strawberry puree that is used.)

In order to get the look of Christmas in a cup, you will need to order this Frappuccino in a specific way because otherwise your barista won’t get it the way that the creators of the secret menu drink intended it to be enjoyed.

Start off by ordering a Vanilla Bean Creme Frappuccino. Ask to have strawberry puree added to the bottom of the cup, then ask if they can add another layer of the puree to the middle of the drink. (Basically, you are asking them for a layered drink with them putting the puree at the bottom, then half of the vanilla bean creme, more puree, and then the rest of the vanilla bean creme.) Top with whipped cream and you are good to go. If this was the holidays, we would get the red sugar topping added to the top, but that is usually only available around Christmas.

Considering this is an icy cold drink, this one makes perfect sense as a Christmas in July drink from Starbucks. And we are leaning into this summer as a great way to feel festive while enjoying something cold and satisfying.

It’s magic in a cup and we are here for it. But have you tried this festive Frappuccino yet? Will you be trying the Santa Claus Frappuccino this summer? Let us know Guilty Eaters.
