Ice cream is something that just about everyone knows, loves, enjoys, and goes crazy over, both kids and adults alike. Let’s see what these next two states have to offer.

15. Iowa

Ice Cream Parlor: Snookie’s Malt Shop

Flavor Spotlight: Animal Cracker Dip

Here’s a little fun fact about ice cream in Iowa: this state in particular is one of the largest leading producers of ice cream, so there’s certainly no shortage of parlors and shops all over the state!

Over at Snookie’s, you’re greeted with the classic mom-and-pop-style ice cream shop that you can find roadside in Des Moines, serving it’s super cool customers since 1986 (cool, right)! They have shakes, malts, classic ice cream flavors, soft serve, and different candies and treats to go right along with them, including one with frosted animal crackers – yum yum, double yum!

16. Kansas

Ice Cream Parlor: Sylas and Maddy’s

Flavor Spotlight: Oreo Cheesecake

Over in Kansas, Sylas and Maddy’s is clearly a crowd-fave; with that being said, there are two locations, with one sitting over in Olathe, and the other one sitting over in Lawrence (spread out just enough for those that live near or in either of the two different areas in particular).

There are over thirty flavors, here are 14 of them to be exact:

  3. Lavender Lemon – lemon cake
  4. Oreo Cheesecake
  5. Blueberry Cheesecake
  6. Banana Pudding – banana ice cream, nilla wafers

  8. Dinosaur Egg – Whoppers, thick fudge swirls
  9. The King – peanut butter base, bananas, peanuts, chocolate swirl
  10. Birthday Bash – birthday cake, sprinkles
  11. Cherries Grande – cherry base, cherries, chocolate flakes
  12. The Grinch – mint base, M & M’s, chocolate crunchies
  13. Salted Caramel
  14. Strawberry Lemonade Sorbet
