Vacadillos has a snack that appeals to my heat-seeking nature. It’s a meat snack that is not traditional jerky in any sense. Most importantly, they have varying heat flavors perfect for waking up your tastebuds.
As stated on its website, Vacadillos Carne Seca is jerky’s sexy neighbor. It is anything but an average jerky snack. This is sliced air-dried beef that is enhanced with different spices to create alternative flavor profiles.
Vacadillos come in three different flavors that vary in heat level. They rate each flavor on a TNT dynamite heat index level. The three flavors include:
- Chile Lime: This is described as being crafted with a whole lot of citrus and a little bit of sizzle. Each bite boldly blends smoky, hot, and cool flavors to keep you coming back for more. It is rated as just a little bit of sizzle on the heat index.
- Habanero: As opposed to Chile Lime, this flavor is crafted with a whole lot of sizzle and a little bit of citrus. The audacious blend of sweet and hot makes this a crowd favorite you won’t be able to put down. As you might guess, this is rated as a lot of sizzle on the heat index.
- Scorpion: This is the ultimate with real scorpion peppers married with bold citrus flavors to bring your tastebuds to a whole new level. As Vacadillos states, this is not for the faint of heat. As expected, Scorpion maxes out the heat index and will probably explode your taste buds.
Vacadillos spicy Carne seca is a perfect snack for anyone looking for a little kick
All of the Vacadillos flavors are a great snack for keto lovers or just lovers of beef and spice. Since Halloween is approaching, this is a great alternative for scaring the heck out of your taste buds or the guest at your Halloween party. Each serving of Vacadillos features 15g of protein while also having 0g of carbs and sugar.
Vacadillos spices their beef and then air dries it for a period of 10 to 21 days. After this, the slabs of beef are sliced thin for packaging. Unlike jerky, it is not made with any preservatives, sugar, or artificial flavors. You should get an easier texture and chew than when eating completely dried-out jerky.
If you are feeling adventurous enough, you can purchase Vacadillos Carne Seca through their website or on Amazon. I haven’t seen it at any of my local stores just yet, but I will be keeping an eye out for it. They come in two or six-packs that range from $9.98 to $29.99.
