• Wine is key to any epic Emmys party. And according to the press email we received, his “go-to white is Sterling Vineyards Vintner’s Collection Chardonnay.” He also recommends making sure to have both red and white wines on hand, and dishes to pair with each wine. And considering Sterling Vineyards is the official wine of the actual Emmys, it just makes sense to turn to them to get our sip on.
• While we all agree that wine (whether from Sterling Vineyards or not) is at the top of our must have list, flowers are another must have for a decorative table. Fresh, local flowers are your best choice, but even if that means heading to a grocery store, there is nothing wrong with that at all.
• Make it feel like an occasion. Bring out the nice platters, set up your table for people to feel special, while also making everything look visually appealing. Add depth and elevation with your foods, whether they are finger foods or even something more substantial.
• A cheese board is always a nice choice, especially if you are going with more of a finger food approach. Other options for what to offer guests includes crab cakes, sliders, chocolates, crostinis and even meats.
