Baketopia season 2 is not coming to HBO Max in October 2021

There are some great shows coming to HBO Max in October 2021 but, unfortunately, Baketopia season 2 is not be one of them.

With September coming to a close, HBO Max has revealed the complete list of shows and movies set to drop across the month of October.

It’s a list that is full of must-see new originals including the new seasons of Succession, Insecure and Curb Your Enthusiasm as well as blockbuster films such as Dune and The Many Saints of Newark.  Oh and let’s not forget about a new season of the streaming service’s hit cooking series Selena + Chef which will return for a third season in October.

Unfortunately, though, the wait for Baketopia season 2 is going to continue for at least another month because the second season of the Rosanna Pansino hosted show won’t be coming in October 2021.

Is Baketopia season 2 happening?

At this time, the future of Baketopia remains unclear as HBO Max has not announced a formal renewal for the series. Because of this, it is unclear whether the show will be returning for a second season on HBO Max.

One positive sign for fans is that the show’s sister series Craftopia is returning for a second season in October, indicating HBO Max has not given up on the franchise.

Baketopia season 2 release date

Because no renewal has been announced, it’s hard to know when season 2 of Baketopia might drop on HBO Max. If the season has already been filmed, it’s possible we could see season 2 drop sometime in 2021; however, it’s looking more likely we the second season would arrive sometime in Spring 2022.

Season 1 debuted on March 25, 2021, so it’s possible HBO Max could look to drop season 2 sometime in March 2022, putting about a year between seasons which is an approach we’ve seen many streaming services take with their original programs.
