You may remember Chef Nick DiGiovanni from his time on MasterChef, but of course he didn’t just stop there, as he turned his eye to social media to share his foodie creations with the world. And as a content creator both on Instagram and Tik Tok, as well as being a chef, he is partnering with Kinder Bueno to help us all elevate our coffee this National Coffee Day.

In honor of National Coffee Day and his partnership with Kinder Bueno, DiGiovanni has decided to share some of his tips for elevating our coffee. We are talking about not only adding a Kinder Bueno bar to the after dinner coffee routine, but even using that Kinder Bueno as a measuring tool (yes really).

And, on top of sharing his top tips for National Coffee Day, we also had a chance to speak to Chef Nick DiGiovanni in order to expand on his ideas for pairing our standard cup of coffee with this sweet treat.

According to the chef, the Kinder Bueno Bar is a perfect measuring tool when it comes to creating the perfect cup of coffee (and we are talking lattes, Frappuccinos, whipped coffees, and more). In fact, one 8oz. Dalgona Whipped Coffee can be perfectly measured out using the four quadrants of the Kinder Bueno Bar. One piece for the instant coffee, one piece for the hot water, one piece for the sugar, and one piece for the cream.

As he pointed out, “use a Kinder Bueno bar to perfectly size up the amount of each ingredient and enjoy as the perfect pairing.” So basically, once you use the bar for your measuring, then you can eat the bar as a sweet treat right alongside the coffee.

Want to enjoy your Kinder Bueno with an iced coffee? The chef has an answer for that too. He explains that it is really all about picking the right ice cubes. And for him, it is two large cubes that will keep it cold without watering it down.

Our big question for Chef Nick DiGiovanni was really what inspired his partnership with Kinder Bueno for National Coffee Day, and according to him,

"I love coffee. And I also happen to be Italian. So it’s been a big thing in my family forever, and so honestly we had the simple question of its National Coffee Day, and we had the question of how do you take just a usual, ordinary old coffee and make it incredible, make it extraordinary. And that’s when we kind of joined forces to put together a bunch of really cool creative concepts behind trying to celebrate National Coffee Day with a bunch of really cool and creative concepts that can help everybody elevate their coffee experience."

And what better way is there to elevate our coffee than with a sweet treat? Kinder Bueno ends up being a perfect pairing no matter how you take your coffee, and that’s all thanks to the perfect blending of chocolate and hazelnut cream filling, as well as the crispy wafer. Because as they say, “when Coffee Gets Bueno, Life Gets Beuno!”
