Just in time for National Taco Day on October 4, El Pollo Loco is bringing back the crunch, but they are doing it in a virtual way. Confused yet? I’ve got you covered.

So in honor of National Taco Day, El Pollo Loco is bringing back their crunchy tacos. But if you have never had one of their crunchy tacos, then you may not know why this is exciting. It’s exciting because these tacos give us “smoky Tinga sauce, shredded chicken, lettuce and Jack cheese into the same crispy tortilla shell fans have always loved.”

So where does this virtual thing come into play? Well according to the press release from El Pollo Loco, they have decided that they are “bringing back its popular Crunchy Taco as its first-ever, digital-only menu item, available for purchase through the El Pollo Loco app and website, Oct. 4 through Nov. 1.”

But the return of the crunchy taco (even if it is a virtual return), is not the only way they are celebrating National Taco Day. On October 4 (aka National Taco Day), with every order of crunchy tacos, customers will receive a free Mexican Coke.

On top of this National Taco Day deal, El Pollo Loco will also be giving their rewards members a deal too. Loco Rewards Members will also get a BOGO offer added to their account that they can use to get a free crunchy taco.

All things considered, we can’t think of a better way to celebrate National Taco Day than with the return of the crunchy taco from El Pollo Loco and not one, but two potential freebies. (Of course, you have to be a rewards member to get that second deal.)
