Dan Levy set to host new cooking competition show

Dan Levy is back hosting cooking competitions! For those who only know him from Schitt’s Creek, in 2017,  Dan Levy hosted the first two seasons of The Great Canadian Baking Show and was lovely and wonderful. But now he’s back for a new competition cooking show on HBO Max.

The show is titled The Big Brunch and should be coming in 2022. And Levy is not just hosting it, he created it too. The competition will feature a group of chefs who must put their skills to the test in order to win the ultimate prize. But how can they make brunch new and innovative? We’ll have to wait and see.

Since it seems to be chefs instead of amateurs, the tone will likely be way different than The Great Canadian (or British) Baking Show. Hopefully, it doesn’t take itself too seriously because that can be so stressful to watch. I’m looking at you Top Chef. Why can’t the contestants just support each other??

But whatever the tone is, it’s sure to be at least a little funny with Dan Levy as the host. I might have to get HBO Max just to watch this.

And Dan Levy is not the only Levy to be hosting a new show. His dad, Eugene Levy, is also hosting a new travel show, The Reluctant Traveler.

The show will follow Eugene Levy as he travels to some of the most amazing hotels in the world. As you might guess from the title, Levy is not the most excited to be traveling the world, but he hopes it’ll be a good experience for this next part of his life.

The Reluctant Traveler will be streaming on Apple, but the release date is not yet known.
