Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate flavors you didn’t know existed
Everyone has probably had a Ghirardelli square filled with caramel, but the brand has a lot more flavors than just the basics. They pretty much have a flavor or a type of chocolate no matter what your tastes are.
This is especially true if you love dark chocolate. Ghirardelli has four different types of intense dark chocolate based on how much cacao is in them. There is a 60 percent cacao that has notes of ripe red fruit and a 72 percent cacao that has hints of mocha, blackberries, and dark cherries
There’s also an 80 percent cacao with notes of dark cherries and dried plums and a whopping 92 percent cacao with fruity and earthy notes.
I like dark chocolate but I don’t know if I could do the 92 percent. That might even be too bitter for me.
Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate has a ton of different flavors
Like a mix of flavors in your dark chocolate? Ghirardelli has that too! Their nutty, sweet, and salty flavors include:
- Sea Salt Almond: Dark chocolate with roasted almonds and sea salt. The perfect combination of salty and sweet with a little crunch as an added bonus
- Roasted Hazelnut: Dark chocolate with roasted hazelnuts. This tastes just like your favorite chocolate spread!
- Salted Caramel: Dark chocolate with caramel pieces and sea salt. Salted caramel has become a classic for a reason. It’s delicious!
- Toffee Almond: Dark chocolate with a mix of crunchy toffee and roasted almonds
Prefer fruit mixed into your chocolate? The chocolate brand has three dark chocolate flavors for you. Adding fruit to chocolate makes it healthier, right? Whether it does or not, these flavors sound amazing. The fruity chocolates include:
- Raspberry: Dark chocolate with raspberry bits and raspberry flavor infusions. Raspberries provide the perfect contrast to the dark, slightly bitter chocolate
- Cherry Almond: Dark chocolate with tangy cherry bits and roasted almonds. Cherries, almonds, AND chocolate? Yes, please!
- Blood Orange: Dark chocolate with a blend of blood orange bits and blood orange flavor. Orange and chocolate is a classic combo for a reason. It’s a perfect mash-up.
I remember when dark chocolate was something that was pretty rare. It was in maybe one or two candy bars. That’s not the case anymore. Now you can get it with every flavor and even different cacao percentages. Nothing proves that more than how many Ghirardelli Dark chocolates there are now. Pick your favorite and enjoy!
