When you think of Thanksgiving, the bird we often think about first is the mighty turkey. But sometimes you want some chicken, and we aren’t necessarily picky about the way it is cooked (grilled, fried, nuggets, roasted, etc.). And when it comes to getting our hands on delicious chicken, we often think of Chick-fil-A.

Of course, we don’t just think of chicken when we think of Chick-fil-A. We also think of things such as their Peppermint Chip Milkshakes, their Waffle Potato Fries, or even their Chicken Tortilla Soup.

But the real question is what happens when it is Thanksgiving Day, things go wrong and you decide dinner is all about the chickens? Well then you really want to know whether or not Chick-fil-A will be open.

Will Chick-fil-A be open on Thanksgiving?

The answer to whether or not Chick-fil-A will be open on Thanksgiving is no. Every year, the chicken chain shares on their Chickenwire Blog that their restaurants will be closed in order for their employees to celebrate the holiday themselves.

And we were once again reminded that the chain keeps their doors closed on Thanksgiving when they talked about whether or not they would be open on Memorial Day this year. This means that we either need to head on over before the restaurant closes the day before Thanksgiving or we will need to wait until Black Friday to get our chicken on.

Even though Chick-fil-A won’t be open on Thanksgiving, that doesn’t mean all hope is lost for a chicken dinner. And if you want to know which restaurants are actually open (as well as which ones are closed), we have you covered with the rest of our holiday coverage.

With Chick-fil-A closed on Thanksgiving Day, where will you go instead? And will you be hitting up the drive thru on Black Friday?
