Pop-Tarts lovers we have exciting news! The beloved toaster pastry brand is giving us two new flavors and they are inspired by two of our other favorite things – DONUTS!

That’s right! We are getting two new flavors of Pop-Tarts inspired by two classic donut flavors.

According to the press release we received, the new flavors are Frosted Apple Fritter and Frosted Boston Creme. And if you love either of these donut flavors, you really will love these toaster pastries.

In fact, after we got the chance to try both of these Pop-Tarts x Donuts flavors, we can honestly say that we can’t believe they didn’t make these sooner! Whether you like apples or chocolate and custard, you get that with these toaster pastries because they deliver on the promise of the flavors we expected.

Pop-Tarts x Donuts flavors are heading to stores by the end of December 2021

Pop-Tarts x Donuts – with NEW Frosted Boston Creme and Apple Fritter.

For the Frosted Apple Fritter, we get a filling of apple that really does taste like it came straight from an apple fritter or an apple filled donut (if you know, you know). Then, the Frosted Apple Fritter Pop-Tarts are topped with a very light string of white icing, much like you might find on a classic apple fritter. (We tried these toasted the classic way and we even did the butter topped way to see how these Pop-Tarts live up to getting buttered and both ways were decadently delicious.)

Then we have the Frosted Boston Creme Pop-Tarts, which have the classic custard filling that we expect from a classic Boston Creme donut. Then, the topping for this toaster pastry is a classic chocolate icing, exactly as we would have expected.

Both of these flavors deliver in a big way and you really will fall in love with both of them. Forget the donuts, it is time for more toaster pastries in our lives.

Much like their usual Pop-Tarts, these Donut-inspired flavors come in boxes of eight for $2.99. And they join a special lineup of flavors that includes their current seasonal flavor of Sugar Cookie Pop-Tarts and the other breakfast inspired flavor that was recently released, the Eggo Frosted Maple Syrup flavor.

So what do you think Guilty Eats nation? Are we excited for two donut inspired flavors of these toaster pastries? Which flavor are you most excited about? Will you be adding these classic flavors to your breakfast lineup? We want to know!
