It doesn’t matter what time of the year it is, you can never wrong with a charcuterie board. And if you want to make charcuterie magic happen for the holidays, you may want to head to your nearest ALDI.

We recently took part in a very special, virtual charcuterie lesson (of sorts) with a member of the ALDI Charcuterie Board of Directors (yes it is a real thing and we love it). And what we learned is that whenever we want to create personal charcuterie boards or even larger boards for intimate gatherings, they are the place to go to get our meats, cheeses, spreads, nuts, dried fruits, and more.

Plus, with ALDI‘s wine section, we can build a charcuterie board inspired by the wines we choose too. Among the wines we learned about were the William Wright Reserve Pinot Noir, the 30 Miles Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, and the Belletti Prosecco. And I will admit that the Pinot Noir was a particular favorite, both in terms of pairing it with our charcuterie offerings and in just sipping magic.

So what are some of the must-have items from ALDI for you next Charcuterie Board? I am so glad you asked (or I asked for you).

What to pick up from ALDI for your next charcuterie board

Up first we have to talk about the Premium Fruit Spread sampler box, called the Cheese Pairing Spread Set. As the CBoD member leading our charcuterie lesson pointed out, spreads are a great way to elevate our snacking game and they pair perfectly with the different meats and cheeses. But what we loved the most was just how delicious these fruit spreads were. There were four flavors in the box – Pear & Cinnamon (amazing), Apricot & Cumin, Fig & Honey (this is divine), and the Cherry & Rosemary.

If you are creating an elevated charcuterie board, you need these spreads in your life.

For the rest of the board, we had the Appleton Farms Prosciutto (this is one of the best Prosciuttos I have had in a long time), the Appleton Farms Bite Size Dry Salami, the Emporium Selection Honey I’d Rather Bee at the Sea Cheddar Cheese, and the Emporium Selection Cranberry White Cheddar Cheese (this is the most delicious cheddar I have eaten in my life). And of course, you can’t have balanced charcuterie set up without the dried fruit, in this case dried apricots, and crackers. For the crackers on this board, it was all about the Fig & Black Sesame Artisan Crisps.

This is just a small, small sampling of what you can snag at ALDI to create your perfect charcuterie board. And we are here for it.

If you have ever shopped at ALDI, then you already know that they have some of the more unique grocery offerings around. And with their meats, cheeses, spreads, and crisps, you can create the most luxurious charcuterie set up, all without breaking the bank.

I am currently obsessed with their spreads, the salami bites, the prosciutto, and fruit infused cheeses, all of which are not only great for creating elegant and delicious charcuterie set ups, but are also perfect for all of our snacking needs too.

If ever there was a time to head to ALDI, the holidays would definitely be it. We love shopping their aisles to see what is new and what magic they have in store (get it) for us now. And if you want to make a meat and cheese board that is iconic this holiday season, this is the perfect time to try a few new things and shake things up.
