Pomegranate is one of the favorite foods, the flavor also lends itself beautifully to drinks and food. Essentia’s Pomegranate Ginger Sour took me by surprise — I drink Essentia when I’m working out, and never really thought about it as a bar staple! But now it is, and we can all enjoy this recipe together.

"ESSENTIA POMEGRANATE GINGER SOUR“The Essentia(l) Spritz 2.0”INGREDIENTS1L Essentia Water (for ice cubes, 2 oz for sparkling water + 1 cup for syrup)2 oz Vodka1/2 oz Ginger syrup (Essentia Water, ginger roots, sugar)1 oz Pomegranate juice1 cup Sugar1-2 Ginger roots1/2 oz LemonPomegranate seeds (for garnish)INSTRUCTIONSPrior to making cocktail, make ice using Essentia Water to ensure it is ready for use. If you have a carbonation at home, carbonate 2 oz of Essentia Water, or use your favorite sparkling water. Combine all ingredients into a Collins glass. Add pre-made ice, and gently stir to combine. Garnish with a lemon twist and pomegranate seeds.GINGER SYRUPIn a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of Essentia Water and 1-2 peeled ginger roots sliced up into coins. Bring to a light simmer to release the ginger juice and flavor. Add in 1 cup of sugar, and gently stir to dissolve the sugar. Let the syrup remain on a light simmer (do not boil). Remove from the heat and allow the syrup to cool. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer into a glass bottle, and store in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks."

Aperol has become a staple in my bar as of late. This beautiful deep orange drink is a great mixer, and makes an even better gift — even if you’re buying it for yourself! This light and refreshing drink will bring a twinkle to your eye, and goes with any prosecco you have!

"Aperol Spritz ‘Perfect Serve’ Recipe Ingredients:AperolCinzano ProseccoSoda, served from syphon or chilled bottleSlice of orangeDirections:In a glass full of ice, combine Prosecco followed by Aperol in equal parts.Add a splash of soda and stir gently to mix.Garnish with an orange slice and enjoy. As an easy way to remember how to create the perfect Aperol Spritz, think P.A.S.S.!P-ProseccoA-AperolS-Splash of SodaS- Slice of Orange"

There’s nothing I love more than a mixed coffee drink. We tried this recipe for an at-home brunch recently and fell in love. This will take some prep time, but it’s worth the hassle. We tried this recipe with both tonic water and sparkling wine. If you want more bubbles, go for the sparkling wine, but both tastes great!

"Creamy Coffee Cocktail BombLevel: EasyPrep: 5 minutesCook: 2 minutes, plus time for mixture to cool and freezeServings: Makes 4 5-ounce servingsIngredients:1/4 cup Nescafé Clásico Dark Roast 100% Pure Instant Coffee Granules1/4 cup sugar3/4 cup water, divided1/2 cup heavy whipping cream1/3 cup vodka1/4 cup coffee-flavored liqueur, such as Kahlúa3/4 cup sparkling wineDirections:Combine coffee granules, sugar, and 1/4 cup water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until coffee and sugar dissolve and mixture comes to a simmer.Stir in cream and remaining 1/2 cup water. Pour mixture into an 8 x 8- or 9 x 9-inch baking pan and set aside to cool to room temperature. Transfer to freezer and freeze for 2 hours, scraping with a fork and smashing any larger clumps every 30 minutes. Freeze until firm, at least 2 hours. Scoop frozen coffee into balls and add to coupe or martini glasses. Combine vodka and liqueur and add to glasses around balls. Add sparkling wine and serve.Note: To vary the recipe, try tonic water instead of sparkling wine."

If you haven’t guessed by now, I’m a huge fan of champagne, prosecco, and cava brut wines. They can be enjoyed solo, but these bubbly drinks also do well in loads of recipes! Cavit Prosecco is a wine I find myself using in mixed drinks more and more. Their Fizzy Plum recipe is ideal for the season!

"Fizzy Plum 2 fresh, whole plums or figs1 tablespoon brown sugar1/4 cup bourbon1/2 cup ProseccoMuddle one fig with the brown sugar. Add bourbon and ice cubes and shake to combine.Strain into a glass over ice and top with Prosecco.Garnish with fresh fig."

Remy Martin is a brand cognac lovers are familiar with. This smooth sipper is also a great addition to a mixed drink. Their Remy Martin Gold Fashioned adds a bit of class to any party you’re attending!

"THE RÉMY MARTIN GOLD FASHIONEDINGREDIENTS:15 ml (1.5 cl) honeyed saffron syrup3 drops chocolate bitters50 ml (5 cl) Rémy Martin XOEdible gold leaf (optional)INSTRUCTIONS:In a mixing glass, combine all ingredients with ice and stir with a bar spoon. Strain into an XO Old Fashioned glass over one large cube of ice. Lightly dust the ice cube with gold leaf and serve."
