Is IHOP open Christmas Day 2021?

I always found it amazing how many people completely forget about making a nice breakfast on Christmas morning. They spend so much time planning the dinner that after the presents have been ripped open, some folks end up eating cold cereal and dreaming of an IHOP short stack.
That just doesn’t seem right. Breakfast with your family on Christmas morning should be just as important as the dinner. In fact, it might be more so. You spend the rest of the day getting together with friends and family and breakfast might be the only chance you have to be with your immediate family.
So what are you supposed to do if you wake up, open your brand new socks and underwear and realize you completely flaked on breakfast? How can you make it up to the people you love?
Thankfully, IHOP has your back and can fix the situation so that you come out looking like a hero instead of a zero.

According to numerous sources, IHOP will indeed be open Christmas Day this year. Which means you can get dressed and head out to have coffee and pancakes before you trek off to the relatives for fruitcake and more present opening.
However, it might be a good idea to check with your local restaurant to see what hours of operation they have for Christmas Day. Some IHOP locations will indeed remain open their regular 24 hours on Christmas while others may only be open part of the day.
And it goes without saying that if your local IHOP is experiencing staffing issues, they may have decided to close for the day if they could not find anyone to work. The bottom line is you should make a call before you get in the car.
That being said, it’s good to know that even if you forget to get something good for Christmas Day breakfast, IHOP can swoop in and save the day. Pancakes for the win.
