As I’ve talked about before, the Frosty at Wendy’s is one of the greatest desserts ever. Is it a milkshake? Is it ice cream? Who knows? Who cares? All I know is that it is amazing and tastes like nothing else out there. McDonald’s shakes can suck it by comparison.

However, there is something a lot of people forget about when talking about the beloved Frosty. And that is Wendy’s French fries. Why? Because as any foodie knows, if you have a Frosty you are obligated to dip your French fries in it.

I can see many of you shaking your collective heads out there just thinking about it. Salty french fries dipped in the chocolate sweetness that is a Frosty? Gross! But that is exactly what makes the combination so stunningly good.

Combine the sweet and salty with the heat from the fries and the cold of the Frosty and you have a flavor combination that just can’t be matched. And no, dipping McDonald’s fries into a McDonald’s shake just isn’t the same, not even close.

Is your local Wendy’s open for Christmas Day this year?

It is imperative as a foodie that you try this legendary combo. But just don’t try to get it on Christmas Day. You won’t have any luck if you do.

Why? Because all Wendy’s locations will be closed on Christmas Day this year. Unlike some fast food chains, each and every Wendy’s will be locked up tight and won’t reopen until December 26. Which considering it’s Christmas and all, only seems fair.

But make sure that right after the holiday you go and try that Wendy’s fries dipped in a Frosty that I told you about. I promise you won’t be sorry.
