If you love Boba Tea and the chewy tapioca balls that make it so much fun to sip on, then you may be interested in the latest test product from Starbucks. Apparently, the chain is testing out something similar to those tapioca balls, but with their own caffeinated twist.

According to Totally the Bomb, Starbucks is testing Coffee Popping Pearls in a select few locations, specifically in California. While we are definitely bummed that these Pearls seem to only be part of a test run or at least only available in a very limited number of stores, we are definitely holding out hope that these could end up in more locations across the country.

So what exactly are the Coffee Popping Pearls and which drinks do we have to order to get our hands on these additions to our drink (because yes, they are limiting these to two drinks right now)?

Starbucks seems to be testing Coffee Popping Peals on the menu

These Pearls from Starbucks are infused with coffee shots (of course) and are available in just two iced drinks. Specifically, if you want to give the Coffee Popping Pearls a try, you will need to order either an Iced Chai Tea Latte or their In the Dark Cold Brew.

Apparently, news of the Coffee Popping Pearls first popped up on Tik Tok, and we are just waiting on Starbucks themselves to let us know when we might see these drink additions on a wider scale. Plus, we would love to know if they will only add these Pearls to these two drinks or if once the test is over we will be able to throw the Coffee Popping Pearls into more of the iced drinks.

We have a lot of questions and we will have to wait for Starbucks themselves to give us the answers we want.

But what do you think? Are you a fan of Boba and the Tapioca Pearls? Would you try the Coffee Popping Pearls for yourself? Let us know in the comments.
