There is never a bad day to go to Target, but going after Christmas is one of the best times because everything is on sale. And while New Year’s is the official holiday, most people celebrate the night of New Year’s Eve. Jan 1 is usually just a day people have off to do what they will. What better way to start off the year than by going to Target?

But is the store actually open on New Year’s Day?

You’re in luck, Target shoppers! The store is open during its regular hours on Saturday, Jan 1, 2022. If you got a Target gift card, a Visa gift, or wonderful cold hard cash for Christmas, this is the perfect time to spend that money and get some of the things you didn’t receive from your friends and family.

Additionally, if you are not into football and know that people in your house will be monopolizing the television during the day, head over to Target to kill some hours and pick up a few goodies. You know there will be a ton of clothes on clearance as well as lots of things on sale in the toy section.

And don’t forget to pick up a snack for yourself. You know they will probably have their Valentine’s Day candy out already. Pick up a bag of chocolate (or three), a fake cactus for your bedroom, maybe a book or two, and at least one thing you didn’t know you needed.

But be aware! If you head to Target on New Year’s Eve, the store does close early. It will only be open until 9 p.m. So if you need anything for your New Year’s Eve celebration, you’ll want to get it before then.
