Queen Elizabeth II will soon be celebrating 70 years of reigning over England and the colonies. Although, at this point, it’s really just a ceremonial position. But still, 70 years is a long time to be in any role.

Starting in February, there will be a ton of events in Britain to celebrate this event including a baking competition, The Platinum Pudding Competition. If this doesn’t sound like the beginning of every Netflix Christmas movie, I don’t know what is.

The baking competition will be judged by THE Mary Berry, Masterchef‘s Monica Galetti, and the Buckingham Palace head chef Mark Flanagan. The competition is open to all UK residents who are 8-years-old or older. Imagine if a little kid wins!

The judges will pick the best new dessert that celebrates the jubilee. I wonder what it’ll end up being. Definitely nothing with a soggy bottom!

But the baking competition isn’t the only event. There will also be a massive party at Buckingham Palace with a bunch of performers that will air on BBC.

There will also be pageant with dancers and musicians, a celebration with 1000 performers, 500 horses, musicians, and dancers, and a parade to celebrate the Queen’s birthday.

The Queen’s Birthday Parade will be in April and will feature the Queen and her family members on her balcony as well as a ton of soldiers, horses, and musicians making their way down The Mall.

There will also be a one-off public holiday where people get four days off during the first week of June. Nice!

If you’re in Britain anywhere from February thru June, especially in London, get ready for the country to be Jubilee crazy. The souvenirs, the food, and the decorations are bound to take over the city.
