It’s turning into a pretty big week for Food Network and their fans. First came the official news that Tournament of Champions III would be back and now the cabler has revealed that Spring Baking Championship would also be returning for an eighth season.

Spring Baking Championship is of course part of the larger Baking Championship series which includes a Kids version as well as Halloween and Christmas editions. The Spring version, which focuses on spring and summer baking (obviously) first aired in 2015 and has been well received by fans ever since.

For Season 8 Kardea Brown, Nancy Fuller and Duff Goldman will all be returning to the judge’s table but they will be joined by a brand new host in the form of Food Network personality Molly Yeh.

Most foodies know Yeh from her hit show Girl Meets Farm where she prepares dishes inspired by her life on a farm in the midwest. However, this isn’t her first time hosting a food competition as she served in that role for Food Network’s Ultimate Hanukkah Challenge a few years ago.

Spring Baking Championship is getting an Easter spinoff.

Much like Girl Meets Farm, for the new season 12 bakers will be challenged by Yeh to created bakes based on ideas inspired by farm life. In addition, she will be bringing the twist and turns fans have come to expect from the series, including double eliminations and the like. The winner will walk away with a cool cash prize and a spot in Food Network magazine.

According to Yeh, eating all the sweets is a major plus.

"“Hosting Spring Baking Championship was a magical sugar rush. Getting to know the amazing group of bakers, throwing farm-centric challenges at them, and eating all of the incredible sweets that they baked up was nothing short of a dream. Throw in the opportunity to eat all of these sweets with Kardea, Nancy and Duff, and I’m still pinching myself. I cannot wait for audiences to see this season!”"

And if that isn’t enough Spring Baking Championship for you, we have good news. The series is getting an Easter-themed spinoff that will be hosted by Food Network favorite Sunny Anderson.

Spring Baking Championship: Easter arrives right after the premiere of Spring Baking Championship Season 8 and sees eight bakers create bakes inspired by the holiday. Judges Jordan Andino and Stephanie Boswell will pick a winner who will receive the Golden Egg, a prize filled with what they’re calling “bunny money.”

Spring Baking Championship and Spring Baking Championship: Easter both arrive on February 28 at 8 PM and 10 PM respectively. Both shows will be available to watch on Food Network as well as on Discovery Plus.
