The Ina Garten recipe based on your zodiac sign

If a topic has twelve or more options, chances are someone is going to turn it into a zodiac chart. And that’s what Mashed recently did with some of Ina Garten’s recipes. While there is not a bad Barefoot Contessa recipe, the recipe that they matched with your zodiac may not be your cup of tea.

Let’s start with Cancer (my sign). Since Cancer includes a bunch of summer birthdays, it makes sense that the recipe would be Peach and Berry Summer Pudding. It consists of brioche, blueberries, peaches, raspberries, and strawberries. Yum!

Next up is Leo! Luckily Leos are matched with Beatty’s Chocolate Cake and omg, it’s the ultimate chocolate cake. It’s named after one of Ina’s friend’s grandmothers and consists of cocoa powder, fresh-brewed coffee, and buttermilk.

Time for Virgos! Virgos get a much more savory dish in Ina’s Zucchini and Goat Cheese Tart. This looks absolutely delicious and besides the obvious ingredients, includes thyme, lemon zest, and white wine vinegar.

Matching an Ina Garten recipe with your zodiac sign

Next up is the balanced Libra. Libras get the Baked Rigatoni with Lamb Ragu. Could anything sound more delicious?! The recipe includes fresh mozzarella, red wine, crushed tomatoes, and grated Italian Parmesan cheese. And if you’re not a Libra, forget the balance and add as much cheese as you want!

Scorpio time!! The recipe Mashed matched Scorpio’s with is Ina’s Red Wine Braised Short Ribs. If you’re looking for something that sticks to your ribs (pun intended) and warms you up inside, this is the perfect recipe. It includes leeks, onions, celery, carrots, beef stock, and a dry red wine of your choice.

The fiery Saggitarius is matched with the fiery-looking Saffron Rissotto with Butternut Squash.  Although, you may have to take out a small loan for this one. Saffron is not cheap! The recipe includes Arborio rice, pancetta, Parmesan cheese, and shallots.

Capricorns are up next and y’all get Ina’s Portabello Mushroom Lasagna! Talk about the perfect vegetarian dish. Besides the mushrooms, the recipe includes Parmesan cheese, nutmeg, dried lasagna noodles, and black pepper.

Aquarius people, I could not be more jealous of you. Why? Because you’re matched up with a charcuterie board! This can include anything you like but Ina Garten’s includes thinly sliced meats and cheeses, nuts, fruit, and some chutney.

You can probably guess what Pisces includes, right? Yep, there is fish involved. Ina’s recipe for Baked Cod with Garlic and Herb Ritz Crumbs is perfect for any seafood lover (Pisces or not). The recipe features Ritz crackers (yum!), lemon zest, butter, and garlic.

If you’re an Aries, you’re gonna need some mouthwash or a breath mint after you enjoy the recipe you’re matched with. Aries may be bold, but Chicken with 40 Cloves of Garlic might be bolder. Besides all that garlic, this dish has Cognac, dry white wine, fresh thyme, and heavy cream.

Taurus is another sign I’m definitely jealous of because you all are matched with The Barefoot Contessa’s Baked Shrimp Scampi. Are you drooling? Because I am definitely drooling! The dish includes shallots, plenty of butter (12 tablespoons!), rosemary, and red pepper flakes along with the shrimp.

While none of Ina Garten’s recipes are what I would call healthy, Gemini’s recipe, Banana Crunch Muffins, is definitely on the healthier side. The recipe includes mashed and diced bananas, walnuts, coconut, and granola.
