Thirsty Thursday drink recipe roundup for 2/3
Welcome back to this week’s edition of Thirsty Thursday! We’re finally in February, one of the best months of the year. This week we’ll be looking at a variety of cocktails to help set the tone for this month — the tone of love! Be it love for yourself or someone else, we have the potions to help you feel warm and fuzzy!
Rosé is one of my favorite drinks, and is best enjoyed when celebrating love! Lillet Rosé is a light, delicate, and beautifully bubbly take on the classic drink. Enjoyed solo or in a mixed drink, this will add a touch of class to any gathering. This Lillet Rosé Spritz is ideal for brunch but can be enjoyed anytime. Plus it’s easy to make!
Thirsty Thursday drink recipes to get you through the weekend
"Lillet Rosé SpritzIngredients:2.5 oz Lillet Rosé2.5 oz Club Soda (or your favorite sparkling water)Fresh lime wheelPreparation: In a wine glass, combine equal parts Lillet and club soda over ice and finish with a fresh lime wheel, seasonal berries or both!"
Vera Wang Party is one of my prosecco staples. This affordable bubbly comes in a stylish silver bottle, with Vera Wang’s signature logo on the front. The prosecco itself is completely delightful, with fruity notes as you sip. But did you know Vera Wang Party can be used as a mixer? I personally am a die-hard mimosa fan, and their Me, Myself & Mimosa drink is one you should absolutely try!
"Me, Myself & MimosaVera Wang PARTY1.5 oz mango juice0.5 oz rosemary syrupMethod: In a cute flute, stir together juice and syrup. Top with chilled prosecco. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary."
Beefeater London Dry Gin is a favorite of mine. I love using this specific gin for all kinds of creative and unique recipes, including their Pomegranate Negroni. This drink isn’t absurdly strong, but it is absurdly delicious! If you’re feeling daring, try it with Beefeater Pink Strawberry Gin, for a truly fruity Negroni!
"Ingredients:1 part Beefeater London Dry Gin1 Part Campari½ Part Lillet Blanc¼ part pomegranate juice2 dashes orange bittersMethod: Mix with ice, stir, strain and serve."
If you’re not afraid of a little freeze during this romantic time, turn to Malibu. Their take on the trendy Frozé is tropically cool, and it’s also pink — perfect for this month! This drink will take a few minutes to make, but I promise it’s worth it. I like topping mine with whipped cream and cherries, but you can jazz this drink up any way you’d like!
"Malibu FrozéIngredients:● 1 part Malibu Original● 2 parts Sparkling rosé wine● ⅓ part Lemon juice● ⅓ part Simple syrup● 2 Peach wedgesHow To Mix: Pour all the ingredients into a blender with some crushed ice. Blend until smooth and pour into a wine glass."
Campari is a must-have apéritif for your at-home bar. While I personally don’t like to drink it solo, it is the perfect ingredient for a host of drinks. While this recipe does call for Bulldog Gin, I did make this drink with Beefeater — as that’s what I usually have stocked. This drink still turned out insanely delicious, and this should be on everyone’s menu!
"The JasmineIngredients:1 1/2 oz Bulldog Gin1/4 oz Campari1/4 oz Grand Marnier3/4 oz Fresh lemon juiceGarnish: Lemon twistMethod: Add all of the ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake to chill. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist."
Need some food to go along with your drinks? Blue Apron is the perfect meal delivery service for Valentine’s Day — or truly any day! I’ve been enjoying Blue Apron for some time, but I must say their offerings for Valentine’s Day are stunning. My boyfriend and I recently tried their Seared Scallops & Pancetta Fettuccine with Roasted Vegetables, Ricotta, and Pistachios alongside their Cheesy Truffle & Mushroom Crostini with Chives. Each dish came with easy-to-follow directions, and there was more than enough food for two people. The scallops were tender and fresh, but my favorite is the Cheesy Truffle & Mushroom Crostini. We’ve been making those regularly now!
Blue Apron delivers true quality ingredients, and you won’t be breaking the bank for these meals either. Everything is delivered right to your door, all you need to do is cook! No matter what you get, you’re in for a treat.
