When I found out there was such a thing as National Pizza Day, the first thought I had was “Wait. Isn’t every day National Pizza Day?” Thankfully other people aren’t as oblivious as I am when it comes to pizza, one of those being Papa Johns.
Papa Johns has been celebrating what many call the perfect food since the early 1980s when it was founded in the closet of an Indiana tavern. It is now the fourth largest pizza delivery chain in the country with none other than former NBA great Shaquille O’Neal as a member of its Board of Directors.
That’s a long way of saying that if there is anything Papa Johns knows about, it’s pizza. And what better time to demonstrate that passion then on National Pizza Day? Which is why for a limited time they are introducing a brand new pizza for you to try.
According to the press email Guilty Eats received, Papa Johns is releasing a brand new NY Style Pizza just in time for National Pizza Day. And if the survey they conducted is accurate, there are lots and lots of people who love NY style pizza.
The Papa Johns NY Style Pizza will only be around until March 13.
The Papa Johns NY Style Pizza includes oversized slices that make for easy folding (like a true New Yorker) and includes any and all toppings you could want. Or you can enjoy it plain. That’s the best part about pizza: the options!
In addition, Papa Johns is giving one lucky fan a chance to win free Papa Johns pizza for a year. All you have to do is head over to Twitter or Instagram and show the world how you eat your pizza. Use the hashtag #whatsyourstyle and #sweepstakes to be entered to win.
However you eat your pizza or whatever toppings you enjoy (as long as it isn’t pineapple) the Papa Johns NY Style Pizza will only be around until March 13 and will set you back $13. Which is a hell of a deal to be honest. So get ready for National Pizza Day and enjoy a slice or three.
