Super Bowl LVI has come and gone and the Los Angeles Rams are your new NFL Champions. If you’re into football, you watched the game and may be happy or upset at the outcome. If you’re not into football (yes, they are out there) then you probably watched the game, but paid more attention to the commercials.
All the usual suspects decided to pay the exorbitant money needed to have a commercial air during the Super Bowl, including fast food icons Taco Bell. The Bell has been airing commercials during the big game for years and like most companies, have had a mixed track record on if they worked or not.
However, this year Taco Bell decided to do things a bit differently. While the commercial they aired was a hit and got people talking, it wasn’t because of the content. It was because they used it to tease something else. Something aimed at their diehard fans.
According to Thrillist, if you are a Taco Bell Rewards member, you can expect what The Bell is calling a “surprise” in a couple months. What that surprise may be is a mystery but what is known is that it’s coming on May 19.
You have to be a Taco Bell Rewards member to get the mystery surprise.
The only clue anyone has about what the reward may be is an image that was sent to Thrillist that includes the caption “Something saucy is coming 5/19.” So we can assume it has something to do with a new or returning sauce. Maybe. Honestly we have no clue.
The reward is only going to be made available to Taco Bell Reward members so head over and make sure you sign up. That way when the mysterious reward arrives you won’t have to worry about missing it.
Taco Bell has always been pretty good with their advertising and taping into their hardcore fanbase. It would seem their Super Bowl ad this year was no exception. It’s a shame we’ll all have yo wait until May to find out what the surprise is, but knowing The Bell, it should be worth the wait.
What do you think the mysterious Taco Bell reward is Guilty Eaters? Any ideas? Leave your thoughts on the matter below or join the conversation on our Twitter and Facebook pages.
