Are you getting sick of talking about all-things breakfast foods here? I certainly hope not because we’ve barely made a dent in our list! Let’s. Keep. Going. Y’all.
Which breakfast place in your local area has surprised you the most?! Let’s chat!
Next up, let’s travel on over to Connecticut and Delaware for some early morning deliciousness!
7. Connecticut
Breakfast Place: Chip’s Family Restaurant
Featured Dish: Pigs in a Blanket
Their slogan (which I love): “Famous for breakfast. Loved for lunch and dinner.” To me, that means that they are go-to for breakfast dishes and foods, but still amazing and delicious nonetheless (and still a local fave for that matter) for both lunch and dinner as well!
Let’s talk about their Pigs in a Blanket! Wrapped in their locally-famous buttermilk pancakes, their “two little piggies and a friend” and all warm and fuzzily wrapped inside, just waiting to be dipped in syrup, ketchup, or nothing at all (stand-alone delicious)!
Have you tried this delicious morning treat yet? Your thoughts? Let’s hear it!
8. Delaware
Breakfast Place: Egg
Featured Dish: Uncle Charlie
This is also under the Brunch category, so then again, it must be good! Egg has a variety of painfully sweet pancakes, savory classic dishes, and all else in between. Looking for Pumpkin Pie Prailine French Toast? They’ve got that! Looking for a comfort country classic like Biscuits and Gravy? They’ve got that too!
Let’s talk about their Uncle Charlie! To most, this might sound disgusting. To me, it sounds so delicious that my mouth is watering and I’m on a plane to Delaware (after reading this description, I surely wish that I was, that’s for dang sure). Here’s what it is: sauteéd chicken livers, bacon, shallots, freshly scrambled eggs, all served with and sided up with home fries and toast choice!
