We’ve already traveled to 10 of the 50 states thus far, so we’ve made a dent, but barely. But that’s quite alright because there’s still plenty more deliciousness to come for all people with all kinds of favorite food preferences, drink preferences and all else in between (preferences)!

Which breakfast place near you would you recommend to tourists?! Not recommend?!

Next up, let’s travel on over to Hawaii and Idaho for some early morning deliciousness!

11. Hawaii

Breakfast Place: Over Easy

Featured Dish: Kailua Eggs

This place isn’t actually just the restaurant Over Easy; it’s also a lunch/dinner type of place called Easy ‘Que, where their slogan is “Beer, Bourbon, BBQ”. Here’s something that stood out to me from that side of the restaurant: Starter – Kalua Pig Wraps (with pickled cabbage, rice noodles, and caramel sauce). I’d be interested to see how a caramel sauce would work well here. Have any of YOU ever tried something like that out before? Thoughts?

Let’s talk about their Kailua Eggs! Now, whether you already know this or not, a lot of Hawaiian dishes, breakfast included, have some sort of rice to go along with it, so there’s definitely no shortage of that with this menu! With this particular menu item, it consists of the following: sunny side up egg(s), bacon cabbage broth, Portuguese Sausage, and rice!

Have you tried this delicious morning treat yet? Your thoughts? Let’s hear it!

12. Idaho

Breakfast Place: Smitty’s Pancake & Steak House

Featured Dish: Old-Fashioned Sour Dough Pancakes

Well, folks, who ever would’ve thought to put both a steak house and a pancake house into one place? Not me, certainly! But apparently it works because this place is super popular to eat at and has been passed down from generation to generation (family-owned)! Here’s something that stood out to me from that side of the restaurant: Finger Steaks (basically the chicken tenders of red meat) and a Teriyaki Burger which consists of a chuck patty, swiss cheese, sliced pineapple ring, and of course, teriyaki sauce)!

Now and finally….let’s talk about their Old-Fashioned Sour Dough Pancakes! Basically, these are almost exactly what they sound like. Here’s what their website/menu has to say about them:

"“Aunt Bessie’s Grandmother passed down this delicious, 100-year old recipe. Enjoy!”"
