Are you getting all breakfasted out? We sure hope not because we’ve still got a ton, and yeah we really do mean a ton of breakfast (dishes) left to go on over here, folks!  Buckle. Up.

Which breakfast places are the least popular in your hometown area?! Stories!?

Next up, let’s travel on over to Kentucky and Louisiana for some early morning deliciousness!

17. Kentucky

Breakfast Place: Wild Eggs

Featured Dish: The Mad Platter

This breakfast place not only has almost all 5-star reviews, but it was also voted the Best Breakfast in Kentucky by multiple sources. Now to me, this definitely sounds like a place that I’d like to try, and potentially even travel to Kentucky just to try it, in fact! Now, how does that sound?

Now…let’s talk about their famously circled dish, The Mad Platter! Here’s what it consists of:

  • Three Eggs – Cooked Your Way
  • Bacon – 3 Pieces
  • Sausage Links – 3 Pieces
  • Choice of Home Fries or Stone-Ground Grits
  • Your Choice of Bread
  • 1 Large Buttermilk Pancake

Here’s a few other dishes to try, should you find yourself there:

  • Kelsey KY Brown – Bread, Cheddar Sauce, and so so much more flavor
  • Southwest Steak and Cheese – Served with Pico de Gallo
  • Mexico City Chilaquiles – Classic Mexican Breakfast Dish
  • Potato Head Skillet – Potatoes, Sour Cream, and Jack Cheese – what could go wrong?! Absolutely nothing. Nothing at all.
  • Steak Bennie – Your Classic Eggs Benedict with a Deliciously Heart & Meaty Take/Taste To It
  • Angus Burger – Add Your Choice of Cheese or Even Some Bacon for a Delicious Twist/Take

Have you tried this delicious morning treat yet? Your thoughts? Let’s hear it!

18. Louisiana

Breakfast Place: Café Du Monde

Featured Dish: Beignets (DUH)

In case you’re living under a rock and have never even merely heard of Café Du Monde before, it is know to all as the ‘Original French Market Coffee Stand’. If you’re looking for some delicious breakfast foods to go with your delicious French Quarter Coffee, you won’t find it here because they only serve coffee and one other thing……

Now, for what everyone else has been waiting for…let’s talk about their world-famous Beignets! It’s basically a giantly small fried piece of dough, that, no matter what time you get to eat them, they are served warm. Try their Café Au Lait (frozen or hot) or their Classic Hot Coffee. I actually just got back from New Orleans, and Café Du Monde was my first stop. It was still a little warm out with the sun, so we tried the frozen version of their Café Au Lait, some bottles of water, and of course, two warm orders of beignets. Definitely did not disappoint, let me tell ya that!
