Amazon is planning a Dr. Seuss inspired baking competition
When it comes to Amazon original programming, there are quite a few gems to choose from, especially in the realm of reality TV. But one thing we are always looking for more of us is cooking and baking competitions.
So of course, imagine our surprise and pleasure to learn that Amazon is working on a brand new baking competition. But not just any baking competition – this is one inspired by none other than Dr. Seuss himself.
According to Deadline, “the streamer is developing a baking competition around characters from The Grinch and The Cat in the Hat.” And considering those are two of the most iconic stories from the author (although there are certainly others), we love the idea of this series. But obviously that doesn’t really tell us enough about what we can expect.
So what else do we know?
Amazon is working to develop a new baking competition inspired by Dr. Seuss characters
The other thing we learned about this competition is that,
"The untitled series will see some of America’s best bakers step into the mind of Theodor Seuss Geisel and use their imaginations to craft cakes inspires by his beloved characters, which also includes Horton the elephant and the Lorax."
Sounds like a lot of fun to us! We love a good themed bake and when the entire series revolves around iconic stories and characters that so many of us know and love, count us in.
This is definitely a first for the Dr. Seuss brand, as it is very rare for them to branch into the world of unscripted television. But we have faith in Amazon and their ability to bring this series to life in a way that honors the characters, while also giving us a baking competition that we want to binge watch.
While there may not be many more details from Amazon yet, we are still excited for this competition to drop. Of course, we will have to wait to see when it will begin streaming and who all will be a part of the series.
But we want to know what you think? Are you as excited for a Dr. Seuss themed baking competition as we are? What do you hope to see in this series? Let us know.
