Did you know that General Mills had a line of Oatmeal inspired by classic cereals?

When it comes to the brands that fall under the General Mills umbrella, there are plenty of iconic and nostalgic flavors to choose from. And among those classic brands are some of our favorite cereals, like Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Cocoa Puffs.

But did you know that General Mills also offers cereal inspired oatmeal flavors? Apparently in the summer of 2021, General Mills released a line of oatmeal products that were inspired by some of the best cereals on the market.

We are talking about Cocoa Puffs Oatmeal, a Lucky Charms Oatmeal, a Cinnamon Toast Crunch Oatmeal, and even a Trix Oatmeal. And if that wasn’t exciting enough, each cereal inspired flavor has a little extra to call back to the classic breakfast we know and love.

So what does that mean?

General Mills takes inspiration from their classic cereals to give us fun oatmeal flavors

As someone who loves General Mills cereals, I was excited to come across a display of these oatmeal flavors on a recent trip to Walmart. But the fact that I had never seen these in a standard grocery store before this was definitely a bit of sadness, because it meant I had been missing out on some classic magic.

But the thing is that each of these cereal inspired oatmeal flavors is more than just a cinnamon flavored oatmeal or a chocolate flavored oatmeal. That’s because with the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Oatmeal there is a Cinnadust Topping. With the Lucky Charms Oatmeal we get Lucky Charms Marshmallows. The Cocoa Puffs Oatmeal comes with a Chocolatey Flavored Crunchy Topping. And finally the Trix Oatmeal comes with a Colorful Crunchy Topping.

So they take the best of the cereal, combines it with a warm and cozy oatmeal and we have magic for breakfast.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I was thrilled to stumble across these oatmeal flavors and since I had never heard of these before, I couldn’t help but want to share these for anyone else who had never seen these in a store near them.
