ALDI is running a limited time contest dedicated to #SneakySwaps

When it comes to ALDI, it sometimes feels like they know us better than we know ourselves. And with the contest they are currently running, they are embracing who we are as shoppers

From March 30 until April 6, fans of ALDI can take part in a very special contest inspired by a viral TikTok that was all about those “sneaky swaps.” According to the press email we received on behalf of ALDI stores, we learned that many of the details on the contest are available in a post in the ALDI Insiders Facebook group, which means that if you are a member you can get all the details you need.

But even if you are not a member, we have the scoop on the #SneakySwaps contest. Check out the details of the contest below and even what inspired the store chain to go sneaky with it.

Viral TikTok inspires ALDI to offer customers a Sneaky Swaps contest

So what happened that led to a contest and what exactly is the contest even?

"It all started when TikToker @Mayoswindler revealed she’s been sneakily swapping ALDI brand Burman’s Mayonnaise into popular national brand containers for her picky husband for almost a decade.She jokingly created a Venmo account (@MayonnaiseMoney) after critics suggested she splurge for the name brand. ALDI seized the moment by applauding her #ALDIsneakyswaps and sent some mayonnaise money for her to treat herself (see screenshot).Because real ALDI fans know premium products don’t come with a premium price tag, the retailer launched a social sweepstakes to celebrate other #ALDIsneakyswaps, asking shoppers to share stories and photos of their swaps."

It’s definitely a fun and funny story, but what exactly do people who potentially win the Sneaky Swaps contest get? Well they will get $50! And we are not mad at that at all. We love the idea of $50, especially if it means we can do a grocery run.

While I can’t say that I have done something like this myself, I certainly know some people who have done this themselves in an effort to get their picky eaters to finish a meal or to actually eat the things they should be. But for a chance to win $50, maybe we will have to do some swapping of our own.

Since we love ALDI, it is definitely not a hardship to take part in a contest with them and maybe even to do a sneaky swap or two with some of their more iconic products.
