Krispy Kreme introduces their first ever mini Easter egg doughnuts

When it comes to sweet treats at Easter, there is something extra special about the seasonal doughnuts we get from Krispy Kreme. And just in time for Easter 2022, not only are we getting new holiday doughnuts, but they are getting a bit of a downsize.

What exactly does that mean? It means that this year, our seasonal doughnuts are actually mini sized Easter eggs!

That’s right! For the first time ever, Krispy Kreme is giving us “mini egg doughnuts.” No they aren’t real eggs, they are just made to look like the decorative eggs we might hunt down after the Easter bunny did all that hiding.

Not only will we be getting a returning fan favorite in this collection of doughnuts, but there are also three new flavors and designs to enjoy as well. So what are this season’s cutest (and most delicious) doughnuts?

Krispy Kreme brings the Easter magic with mini “egg” doughnuts

The four eggs (three eggs and a chick really) we can choose from are:

• Mini Chick Doughnut – This is the returning favorite, but for those unfamiliar with the Chick, it is “A mini unglazed shell filled with white Kreme™, dipped in yellow icing, then half dipped in white sanding sugar and decorated like a chick with yellow, orange and chocolate icing.” Sounds adorable and amazing right?
• Mini Strawberries & Kreme™ Egg Doughnut – For this one we get another mini shell that is unglazed, but this time after filling it with the white Kreme, it gets dipped in a strawberry icing before getting topped with a sprinkle of pastel sequins. This is a beauty and definitely the egg we would be hunting for.
• Mini Cake Batter Egg Doughnut – Take your unglazed mini shell, fill it with a cake batter Kreme, drizzle it with stripes of light blue icing, and then top with mini sized nonpareils in shades of pastel. It’s a delightful take on a classic Easter egg design.
• Mini Chocolate Egg Doughnut – For this unglazed mini shell, we stuff it with a classic chocolate Kreme before it is dipped into a chocolate icing and then drizzled with stripes of yellow and light blues.

Basically, what we have here is delicious treats that look like Easter! And since that makes perfect sense, we are here for it.
