When it comes to Red Lobster, there are a lot of things that come to mind, including their Cheddar Bay Biscuits and Endless Shrimp. But what about dessert? Is the sweet finish to our dinner something that comes to mind when you think of the seafood restaurant?

While dessert may not be the first thing that comes to mind when we think of Red Lobster, with the newest addition to their menu, that might just change.

According to the foodies over at Chew Boom, it seems that Red Lobster is adding a new Meyer Lemon Cake to their menu! And we are already obsessed with this sweet new addition. (We definitely have a thing for lemons and that means that this cake has us ready to drop everything and head to the closest Red Lobster.)

For anyone unfamiliar with the desserts that are currently on the menu, the restaurant also offers dishes such as the Brownie Overboard, the Chocolate Wave, and a Vanilla Bean Cheesecake. This means that with the addition of the Meyer Lemon Cake, we now have four delicious desserts to choose from after we get through our double order of Cheddar Bay Biscuits and our Lobster and Shrimp dinner.

Described as giving us a lemon cake that is layered with a Meyer Lemon curd and a mousse, a slice of this decadent dessert will run about $7.99 each (although prices will vary based on location). The only sad thing is that this seems to be a limited time treat, which means you will want to snag a slice while you can (and where you can, as it is participating locations only).

We definitely need to get our hands on a slice of Meyer Lemon Cake!

What do you say Guilty Eaters? Are we excited for this limited time offer for a new sweet treat to end our meal with at Red Lobster? Will you be giving this cake a try for yourself?
