It was last June when chef, restaurateur and Food Network personality Bobby Flay announced that he was going to close Bobby Flay Steak, the steakhouse located in the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The closing was a huge hit to the food scene in the popular Jersey shore town, which has seen its fair share of ups and downs. The pandemic dealt the entire tourism industry a massive blow and in Atlantic City, which was already dealing with various issues, it could have been a death knell.

Losing a restaurant run by the iconic Flay just when the first signs of a recovery had started was bad news for everyone. However, it seems that Flay leaving Atlantic City was never going to be permanent and instead just a temporary measure as he changed locations.

Bobby Flay to open Bobby’s Burgers sometime this year in Atlantic City.

It is being reported by NJ.com that Flay has announced that he will be returning to the Jersey Shore with a Bobby’s Burgers which will be located in Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City. It will be the second Bobby’s Burgers location on the East Coast and the first in New Jersey.

Unlike Bobby Flay Steak, his burger restaurant is a fast-casual concept that includes all the classics, such as burgers, fries, milkshakes and the Bobby’s Burgers staple, the Crunchburger that is topped with potato chips.

His fans in Atlantic City have been requesting a Bobby’s Burgers of their own for a while now and Flay says he is finally ready to give them what they want.

"“The AC crowd has been asking me for well over a decade to bring my burger, fries and shake concept to the city, and I’m happy to announce we have found a home just as we have in Las Vegas with the Caesars family. My goal is to have the entire Jersey Shore eating Bacon Crunchburgers, crispy fries and pistachio shakes for years to come.”"

It is expected that Bobby’s Burgers will be opening sometime later this summer.
