Break out the bar cart because today is World Cocktail Day! Check out these cocktails that showcase international liquors. You likely already have some of these liquors at home, and if you don’t, it’s a perfect time to try something new!
ENGLAND:
Bombay Bramble: Bombay Sapphire is a premium gin that is distilled in England. In June 2021 they launched Bombay Bramble, a blackberry and raspberry flavored gin. This cocktail highlights the berry flavors of the liqueur.
Bramble 75
1.5 oz Bombay Bramble
¾ oz Lemon Juice
¾ oz Honey Syrup (3 parts honey to 1-part water)
4oz of Martini and Rossi Prosecco
Method: Combine all ingredients except for the Prosecco into your cocktail shaker. Give it a quick, hard shake with ice. Strain into a chilled flute glass and top with 4 oz of Prosecco. Garnish with a dehydrated blackberry.
FRANCE:
St. Germain: St. Germain is a French liqueur made using the petals of the elderflower, which gives it a light, floral flavor. Try this recipe for a light and bubbly cocktail.
St~Germain Spritz
1 ½ oz St~Germain French Elderflower Liqueur
2 oz Dry Sparkling Wine
2 oz Sparkling Water
Method: Combine all ingredients in tall glass and gently stir. Enjoy!

Martini & Rossi Fiero: Martini & Rossi is well known for their vermouth, which is made from wine with added botanicals. The Fiero, used in this cocktail, is a blend of white wine, citrus and botanicals.

2 oz Martini & Rossi Fiero
2 oz San Pellegrino Pompelmo Sparkling Grapefruit Juice
1 oz Water
3 oz Prosecco
One slice ruby red grapefruit (for garnish)
Method: In a wine glass with ice add Martini Fiero, San Pellegrino Pompelmo Sparkling Grapefruit Juice, water and prosecco and stir; garnish with a slice of ruby red grapefruit
SCOTLAND:
Dewar’s Japanese Smooth: Dewar’s is a popular Scotch whisky brand. Their Japanese Smooth is an 8-year-old blended whisky that is finished in Japanese Oak Casks. It has flavor notes of floral, honey, cinnamon and sandalwood. This cocktail is best served on ice. Enjoy this bubbly, full-bodied beverage.
Japanese Smooth Highball
1.5 oz Dewar’s Japanese Smooth
3.4 oz chilled Fever-Tree soda water
Orange twist
Frozen highball glass (left in freezer)
Method: Fill the frozen highball glass with the Dewar’s Japanese Smooth, then fill with one long spear of ice. Fill with soda, but do not stir. Squeeze the orange zest oils over the top of the highball then place on top.
