As we head into summer, McDonald’s is getting ready to give their ice cream machines a workout thanks to their newest McFlurry innovation. In fact, they are going all in with the perfect combination of flavors – the salty and the sweet.

Launching for a limited time on May 25, McDonald’s is giving us the new Chocolatey Pretzel McFlurry, a creation that brings together their classic vanilla soft serve ice cream with swirls of caramel and bits of pretzels that have been covered in chocolate. (Sounds amazing right?)

According to the press release shared by McDonald’s,

"You can get your hands on the new Chocolatey Pretzel McFlurry, along with the classic OREO® or M&M’s® McFlurry, however you order your McDonald’s – in the restaurant, drive-thru or on the McDonald’s App for McDelivery."

Of course, McDonald’s doesn’t want you to stop at the McFlurry, and they have a few recommendations for other things to pair with this sweet and salty treat. Among their suggestions, they are thinking about which salty or sweet treats are on their menu that would be perfect to either eat before you indulge with this McFlurry or to eat right along with it.

If you are a fan of the sweet treats, they are recommending we pick up their chocolate chip cookies or even their classic apple pie. (But we can’t help but think one of their cinnamon rolls would also be a good sweet treat to pair with this McFlurry.)

But if you prefer the salty side of things, McDonald’s recommends starting things off with a Big Mac. Or if you are all about the dipping, why not grab some French fries too?

We love the idea of snagging this salty and sweet McFlurry on our next trip to the drive-thru and we can only hope that we are actually able to get one of these ice cream treats next time we go.

What do you say Guilty Eaters? Are you excited for this new McFlurry flavor?
