You may remember this time last year when we reported on how Arby’s was testing a new line of burgers that were made with Wagyu beef. It was a clear attempt to once again prove that Arby’s has the meats and will leave no meat uncovered in that quest.

In their need to have all the meats, Wagyu was one of the last frontiers. A quick refresher for those not in the know, Wagyu beef comes from Japan and is considered one of the best types of beef a person can have. It is incredibly tender and juicy and is normally ridiculously expensive.

So how can Arby’s afford to have it on the menu all the time? By using a beef that is a combination of American Wagyu and more tradition ground beef. So are you actually getting a true Wagyu burger? Kind of. But it’s also not costing you and arm and a leg.

The Arby’s Deluxe Wagyu Steakhouse Burger comes in two different varieties.

According to our arch rivals over at Chewboom, the new Deluxe Wagyu Steakhouse Burger comes in a couple of different versions. The original includes a patty made with the aformentioned combination of American Wagyu and ground beef topped with American cheese, lettuce, pickles, tomato, red onion and a special sauce on a toasted brioche bun.

The Bacon Ranch Wagyu Steakhouse Burger includes everything the original does but swaps out the special sauce for a parmesan peppercorn ranch version and invites bacon to the party. And what’s a burger party without bacon?

You can also get either Deluxe Wagyu Steakhouse Burger as part of a meal that includes Crinkle or Curly Fries and a soda.

The Deluxe Wagyu Steakhouse Burger will set you back $5.99, which is on the pricy side for a fast food burger. But given how much better the ingredients are and the special method Arby’s uses to prepare it, the cost seems worth it.

You can get the new burger all all Arby’s locations nationwide now through July 31 along with all the other meats the chain is so proud to have.
