Memorial Day is here and with it that means that summer is truly upon us. With this being a federal holiday, we want to know what might be open or closed, from fast food chains like Chick-fil-A and Starbucks, to grocery stores and big box stores like Target and Kroger.

And considering Chick-fil-A is known for being closed on holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving, as well as every Sunday throughout the year, it probably comes as no surprise that we are definitely doing our due diligence to figure out if the chain will be open on Memorial Day this year. To do this research, it required a little bit of looking to the past first.

Thanks to the Chick-fil-A website, we have the answer (at least as of 2021).

Will Chick-fil-A be open on Memorial Day 2022?

Based on previous years, Chick-fil-A will be open on Memorial Day, although they may not be open for their normal hours.

In their post from last year, they explained

"Unlike the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, U.S. Chick-fil-A restaurants will be open on Memorial Day between 10:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. Some restaurants may open earlier and close later, so please check with your local Chick-fil-A for their specific hours of operation on Monday."

And knowing that some stores may be open earlier than 10:30 in the morning, while others may be closing later than 6 p.m., means that we can always call ahead to make sure our closest restaurant is already open in the morning if we plan to be out and about earlier in the day or to find out if they are closed already if it happens to be later. Either way, if it is not between 10:30 and 6, we are definitely going to check before driving to get our favorite sweet tea and Chick-fil-A Deluxe Sandwich.
