Top Chef Houston has just wrapped and Kah-wai “Buddha” Lo was named the champion for Season 19. He amazed the judges with his four-course meal that used his family as the inspiration in the finale and it earned him the prize and the coveted title of Top Chef.

Despite the fact that the dust has barely settled on the season, that hasn’t stopped fans from already thinking about next year. It promises to be a Top Chef competition like few others because the long-running Bravo series will be celebrating Season 20.

You would think the list of cities that would want to play host to the reality series would be a long one, especially for the big twentieth season and you would be right. But if you ask host Padma Lakshmi where she would like the series to go next, the answer is obvious.

Padma Lakshmi would love for Top Chef to film in London, England.

In a recent interview with Mashed, they asked her which city she would like to see the series film in next and she said that she would love to see Top Chef head to Great Britain.

"Oh my gosh. I’d love to go so many places. I’d love to go to London. I’d love to go to so many places. There’s so many places to go."

As for why London?

"It’s easier for us to do production in a country that speaks English, and London is closer than Australia, and I’d need to get home to Krishna. I have friends in London, and London is a great city. I used to live in London."

Makes sense.

Now, in a recent interview with E! News hosts Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons did drop the tidbit of information that Season 20 of Top Chef would in fact be filming overseas. So does that mean London could happen? Don’t count on it.

Most of the rumors about Season 20 seem to point to Top Chef filming in Paris, France, which would be a logical choice considering the long tradition of fine cuisine that has come from the country. The kind of cuisine that the cheftestants of Top Chef just love to prepare.

Either way, it would seem that the cooking competition is going global to celebrate the milestone of getting to 20 seasons. And who knows, if it’s not London for next season, there’s always Season 21.
