When will the Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks return to the menu?

If there is one drink that seems synonymous with Starbucks, it would have to be the Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL for short of course). But when is it available in 2022?

When it comes to Starbucks we have noticed a trend of them releasing new drinks or bringing back fan favorites on Tuesdays. And when the PSL returns, that is usually the day of the week that we see it hit the menu again.

While the original release date for the PSL was typically in September, over the last few years the brand has been bringing out their iconic fall drink as early as the end of August. In fact, in 2021 they brought out this iconic latte two Tuesdays before the end of the month (it officially launched on August 24 in 2021). Basically, they are kickstarting fall in August and we are not mad at it.

But, the big question that we have, is whether or not that will happen in 2022. So, will Starbucks be bringing back their PSL in August? Or will we have to wait until September once again?

Will the Starbucks PSL be back in August 2022?

According to Mashed, they are expecting the Pumpkin Spice Latte to return at the end of August, just like it has in previous years. And while we have not seen any official news from Starbucks themselves, we wouldn’t be surprised if that was true. And honestly, we would be extremely happy if they do in fact make fall vibes happen early once again.

However, we have also seen rumors on Instagram Stories that the PSL will not be out early in 2022. In fact a foodie on the app, who consistently reports news as it’s breaking, reports that it will not arrive at its usual end of August date due to shortages with products.

While we cannot confirm this information, we have seen the impact of shortages on the cafes that we have gone to. And sure, we know that it is still the middle of summer at this point, but Halloween stuff has already started to hit stores as of mid-July (looking at you HomeGoods), and we would expect nothing less from one of our favorite coffee joints.

Basically, we have hope that Starbucks will stick to tradition of the last few years and give us our PSL at the end of August. But at this point, we just don’t know if that will be happening this year.
