Rice Krispies introduces new Shocking Orange cereal for Halloween

Whether you’re eating them as your cereal in the morning or making them into treats, Rice Krispies are a staple any time of year. But the cereal brand is getting into the spooky spirit a little early with their new Shocking Orange variety. It’s just the thing to get you ready for Halloween.

The Rice Krispies Shocking Orange Colored Cereal is, as the name suggests, bright orange. They are still the same flavor as the original cereal but the color makes them perfect for all the fall and Halloween snacks you’ll be making over the next few months.

This means that instead of having the same old brown/beige Rice Krispie treats, you can now make bright orange ones. And don’t be afraid to add in other Halloween candies to your fall-colored treats. You can toss in some candy corn, fall-colored sprinkles, chocolate, or even orange icing.

But besides the classic square Rice Krispie treats with marshmallows and butter, the Rice Krispie website has a ton of Halloween recipes the new orange cereal will be perfect in as well.

Rice Krispies adds Shocking Orange cereal to their lineup

You can make your treats into pumpkin shapes (and not even have to use any food coloring to get the orange color), make a big witch hat, or even build a haunted house. A gingerbread house may not always be the tastiest thing to eat, but you’ll have to keep people away from the Rice Krispie version if you don’t want the roof to be gone in a few minutes.

But the orange cereal isn’t the only Halloween-related part of this new cereal. The box is even spooky with Snap, Crackle, and Pop dressed up in Halloween costumes.

The new cereal will be on grocery store shelves later this month and will cost $4.49 for a 7.5-ounce box and $5.49 for a 12-ounce box.  And make sure to get it while you can. These will not be around for long.
