Hell’s Kitchen Season 21: Battle of the Ages Preview
By D. Goodman
If you are a regular reader of Guilty Eats (and what serious foodie isn’t?) then you already know that the much anticipated Season 21 of Hell’s Kitchen arrives on Fox on September 29. Chef Gordon Ramsay returns to put 18 brand new chefs through the gauntlet that is Hell’s Kitchen.
The winner will walk away with the head chef position at the brand new Hell’s Kitchen Restaurant which will be located in the Caesars Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. It will be the first Hell’s Kitchen on the East Coast and will join two other Ramsay restaurants in the shore town.
So what else do we know about the new season? Lots actually. In fact, we know so much we decided to put in all in one place so you can get ready for the new season without having to search all over the place. Are we great or what?
Season 21 of Hell’s Kitchen will see young go against old for the ultimate prize.
First off, this season is titled Hell’s Kitchen Battle of the Ages. Much like Season 20 which saw 18 chefs all under the age of 24 compete for a mentorship under Ramsay, in Season 21 age will also be a factor.
But in a creative twist, the Red Team will be made up entirely of 20-something chefs while the Blue Team will include chefs who are all in their 40s. It will be youth versus experience to see who can run a kitchen to Chef Ramsay’s satisfaction.
Like last season, Battle of the Ages will be taking place in the Hell’s Kitchen located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The series began filming there due to COVID but It would appear that this will be the default location where the series will be filming going forward.
As for who the chefs are that will be making up the Red and Blue Teams, all of them haven’t been revealed yet but we do know a handful that will be on Season 21.
Tara Ciannella (Age 41)
Mindy Livengood (Age 42)
Charlene Sherman (Age 40)
Billy Trudsoe (Age 40)
Dafne Mejia (Age 29)
Alyssa Osinga (Age 23)
You can expect that the full cast will be revealed shortly before the new season premiers on September 29 and when that happens, you can see the full list right here.
While Gordon Ramsay has launched numerous successful shows for Fox, such as Next Level Chef, Hell’s Kitchen is still his flagship series and with good reason. It’s an insane amount of fun to watch and is incredibly entertaining. Let the countdown to the season premier begin!
