Is Olive Garden open on Labor Day 2022?
With Labor Day just around the corner, lots of us will be spending time with family and friends at a barbecue as a final send-off to summer. But if a barbecue isn’t your thing or you don’t want to be hanging out in the way-too-humid weather, you might head to a restaurant like Olive Garden for the holiday. Is there really any better way to spend the day than eating your weight in breadsticks and salad? I think not.
The question is: is Olive Garden actually open on Labor Day?
Luckily, Olive Garden is open on Labor Day this year. The sort-of-Italian restaurant is open most holidays with the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas. So instead of heading to a barbecue or making a bunch of food, you can head over to Olive Garden, sit in the air conditioning, and eat lasagna. That sounds like a perfect Monday plan to me!
The chain restaurant also has a bunch of specials going on right now including their new Strawberry Cream Cake.
Also, if you prefer to stay at home and not cook, they have their usual take-home family-style meals. You just need to pick them up at the restaurant and then bring them home to eat. The meals include everything from lasagna and chicken alfredo to shrimp scampi and breadsticks. Don’t ever forget the breadsticks!

They also offer $6 take-home entrees as well. These are chilled so you will need to do a little bit of cooking but nothing compared to if you were making it from scratch. And at that price, your bank account will be happy as well.
And even if you are cooking a big meal for your friends and family, Olive Garden does offer wine and beer as well. You can pick up a few bottles and not have to wander the liquor store (or the grocery store) trying to figure out which wine or beer you should get. You can simply order online and pick it up at the restaurant.
No matter what you’re doing on Labor Day, if the meal doesn’t work out or you need something for lunch before you head to a barbecue for dinner, Olive Garden will be open for all your (sort of) Italian needs.
