Is there anything better than a Nature Valley snack on the run? What if they dropped a collection of gear via a TikTok based rewards shop?

Well luckily for all of us, just in time for the back to school season, that is exactly what Nature Valley did. They gave us a rewards shop that is a first of its kind opportunity available via TikTok.

According to a press release shared by Bloomberg,

"This back-to-school season, Nature Valley is launching a first-of-its-kind rewards program on TikTok for families who are making sustainable choices to reduce, reuse and recycle. Starting today, through September 11, families who share their sustainable practices via TikTok using the hashtag #ReTokForNature could receive a promo code infeed, granting them access to shop free and exclusive merch and school supplies on Nature Valley’s new ReTok Shop."

And to promote this program, they partnered with Stephen “tWitch” Boss and Allison Holker-Boss to spread the magic of Nature Valley. We were lucky enough to speak to the couple about their work with Nature Valley and what their favorite items are from the brand:

Nature Valley x tWitch and Allison interview

Guilty Eats: I think it is so cool that you guys are partnering up with Nature Valley. You guys bring a fresh face to the brand. I think a lot of people don’t realize that Nature Valley’s for everyone.

tWitch: “Absolutely. I mean, we’re parents. We have three kids and kids are synonymous with snacking. We’ve gone through quite a few of the Nature Valley bars.”

GE: What inspired you guys to partner with Nature Valley for the TikTok rewards program?

tWitch: “Well, honestly, like I mentioned before, we have kids and our concern for the future and just taking care of the Earth as much as you possibly can is paramount. And what Nature Valley is doing to create sustainable methods of improving ways in which we live is really great.”

Allison: “I also love that Nature Valley uses the terms reduce, reuse, and recycle. Because I think it’s really easy. If you get kids doing it at a younger age, they’ll most likely be able to do it in their future because they’ve already learned and they have a lot of fun doing it. It kind of a way for us to come together with simple tasks or like simple activities ends up being really fun for them. It’s not a difficult thing to do. It is implementing it into your daily life.”

GE: So what are some of the sustainability things that you guys do in your own life to you know, help your kids be sustainable?

tWitch: “Absolutely. Well, we have no problem reusing like containers for school lunches, and all those kinds of things like that. And also working in the field that Allison and I work in and we’ve come through a plethora of different kinds of costumes and all that stuff. So the idea of reusing certain pairs of clothing for different purchases and stuff like that. Also how Allison was just saying too, it’s fun to kind of dive back in and maybe pull out a pair of like throw back jeans that you know, that for some reason have come back around and are back in style again.”

Allison: “It’s kind of silly. It’s a little bit nostalgic for me because I grew up in a household with my mom who literally would never throw out any spaghetti jar, but I always thought it was so fun. And so we’d actually be using those jars as like our water glasses and stuff and like my mom’s collection at her house is so cute because everything’s different sizes and mismatched. And I always thought that was really fun. So that’s kind of a thing that we do here as well.”

GE: So what are some of your favorite Nature Valley products?

tWitch: “Honestly, I am a hat guy myself. So they have these these green beanies that are really dope.”

GE: So what are your favorite snacks to have on hand for back to school and your kids?

tWitch: “Well we love to have that granola bar. It’s always a hit because listen, the kids love them. They eat the pack.”

Allison: “It’s like a multitude of that, like when we say we go through granola bars like a whole pack a day like we have three kids of all ages, but they all enjoy them. They eat multiple a day but they’re healthy. So it’s like, we don’t really mind keeping them fed and happy. We also we’re really big into fresh fruit and veggies as well.”

GE: So you mentioned your favorite product from the merchandise line. I have to ask, are there any others that you are like kind of obsessed with?

tWitch: “Absolutely love the beanie and the backpacks has been a hit because our kids are in school they also for some reason like backpacks. They like to have the backpack.”
