Chipotle releases Garlic Guajillo Steak as a new protein option

If you’re a fan of Chipotle and also a Roblox player then listen up! There is a surprise for all of us – they have released a brand new protein option for all to enjoy: Garlic Guajillo Steak.

Chipotle Rewards members as well as Roblox players got early access to, what they are calling, the brand new Responsibly Raised protein. It will officially be available to all Mexican food-lovers on Wednesday, September 14th.

What does this new Chipotle protein taste like? Here’s more about the Garlic Guajillo Steak and what to expect!

With this new protein being added to the menu comes a completely new and different profile to Chipotle’s menu as a whole. It features super tender cuts of steak well-seasoned with both garlic and guajillo peppers.

What exactly are guajillo peppers and where do they come from?

Guajillo peppers come from Mexico – specifically the Mexican state of Zacatecas is the main producers of guajillo chili peppers. It is in fact the second-most commonly used dried chili in the Mexican cuisine, after ancho chiles.

As far as where you’ll be able to order this steak, they are fully releasing it all throughout the United States and Canada this week!

Now, let’s talk about how Roblox got named in all of this…this brand new protein will also be released into the metaverse for a limited time as well. The fast casual Mexican restaurant initially released their brand new menu innovation on September 13th, 2022 at 7AM PST with the Chipotle Grill Simulator, which they are calling “an immersive Garlic Guajillo Steak Grill experience”.

On Roblox, Head Chef Nevielle Panthaky is inviting users into the kitchen to learn all about the authentic cookng techniques, as well as the ingredients that it takes to make Garlic Guajillo Steak!

In addition, here’s what a recent press release had to say about their new promotion as well:

"“Chipotle is also giving users who successfully cook and taste Garlic Guajillo Steak a chance to try the new menu innovation in real life. On September 13 and 14, Chipotle will drop 25,000 free entrée codes at 7am PT and 3pm PT for a total of 100,000 codes.3 The free entrée codes can only be accessed by Chipotle Rewards members in the U.S. and Canada on the Chipotle app, Chipotle.com and Chipotle.ca.”"

If you complete this Roblox cooking experience challenge, then there is a surprise in store:

"“Users who complete the experience can earn virtual Burrito Bucks⁴ and unlock new exclusive virtual items inspired by Garlic Guajillo Steak, including Chipotle’s iconic Chef Coat, the Nom Nom Aura, and a Gwaa-hee-oh Tee.”"

From September 17th, 2022 through September 25th, 2022, Chipotle is offering a $0 delivery fee on all Garlic Guajillo Steak orders through the restaurant’s app, and both US and Canada websites!
