How is McDonald’s celebrating National Cheeseburger Day 2022?

Did you know September 18 is National Cheeseburger Day? And what better way to celebrate this foodie holiday than with deals on one of our favorite meals – the cheeseburger? Luckily for us, there are plenty of deals to go around.

But the big question might just be how is McDonald’s planning to celebrate National Cheeseburger Day? Luckily for us, they are celebrating with a freebie deal!

When it comes to delicious and quick burgers on the go, McDonald’s is our go-to. From their classic cheeseburgers to their iconic Big Macs, McDonald’s knows how to make us smile. And on National Cheeseburger Day, they are really delivering on the happiness with the help of one of their iconic cheeseburgers.

McDonald’s is celebrating National Cheeseburger Day by offering free Double Cheeseburgers

So how can we take advantage of their freebie deal? According to the press email we received on behalf of McDonald’s, the company asked their fans how they wanted to celebrate National Cheeseburger Day. Fans got to vote on which of three classic burgers with cheese they wanted as part of this year’s freebie deal.

And the winner was the Double Cheeseburger (over the classic cheeseburger and the McDouble). So what’s the actual deal?

"To celebrate its big win, we’re offering all our fans a FREE Double Cheeseburger with a minimum $1 purchase on National Cheeseburger Day (this Sunday, Sept. 18) at participating locations. This deal is available exclusively on the McDonald’s App – be sure to download it so you can get in on the fun!"

Sounds good right? We have long been fans of the McDonald’s app for its deals and offers. And once again they are coming through with this freebie offer on the Double Cheeseburger. The fact that it is as simple as ordering something like a drink or fries to hit that $1 threshold also means that you really can have a great deal on a classic.
