There are few cookies as iconic in the world of snacking as Oreos. The only thing people love more than the cookies themselves is arguing about the best way to eat them. Dunk them in milk? Eat the frosting in the middle first? The options can go on and on.

Over the years the classic Oreo formula has been changed and adapted with the times. You can now regularly get all vanilla Golden Oreos or Double Stuffed Oreos as well as limited edition varieties. These include Apple Cider Donut Oreos, Pokemon Oreos and even Lady Gaga Oreos. And no, that last one wasn’t a typo.

If the press email we received at Guilty Eats HQ is to be believed (and we’re sure it is) there is a new limited edition flavor getting ready to arrive just in time for the holiday season. And it is sure to get not just Oreo lovers, but people who just love cookies pretty excited.

New Oreo Snickerdoodle Sandwich Cookies will only be available for a limited time.

Oreo has announced that they are introducing new Snickerdoodle flavor sandwich cookies this October. Ask anyone who loves snickerdoodles and they will tell you this could be the best foodie news we’ll get this year.

The new limited-edition Oreos will feature cookies that taste like snickerdoodles with a cinnamon flavored crème sandwiched between them. They will also include green and red sugar crystals to really evoke that holiday feeling.

The new flavor will be available nationwide beginning October 17 and will only be on sale while supplies last. Which if these taste half as good as they sound won’t be long. So make your plans now to grab some while you can.
