Whataburger takes wraps off new Chili Cheese Burger

Whataburger has long had a solid reputation in the fast food world for having quality, tasty burgers. This despite the fact that the vast majority of Whataburger locations are found only in the southwestern part of the country.

That being said, the chain has slowly been making their way eastward with locations opening throughout the south. This includes a swath of new restaurants in the Georgia and Tennessee areas with more planned next year.

And like any fast food chain, Whataburger is constantly trying to innovate and do new things. That includes coming up with new items to put on top of their burgers. Which is exactly what they have done according to the press email we received here at Guilty Eats Central.

The Whataburger Chili Cheese Burger will only be available for a limited time.

The chain’s latest creation in the Whataburger Chili Cheese Burger. You might think you already know what it includes but we promise, you’d be wrong.

The Chili Cheese Burger includes two 100 percent beef patties and two slices of American cheese topped with the chain’s own beef chili as well as crunchy corn chips, mustard and onions all on a toasted five-inch bun.

Rich Scheffler, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Whataburger thinks the new menu item will be a winner.

"“The Whataburger Chili Cheese Burger delivers a lot of flavor and texture, with our original-recipe chili – made from the same never-frozen beef as our 100% beef patties – combining with crunchy corn chips, tangy mustard and crisp onions to deliver an experience that’s all-new and yet somehow satisfyingly familiar.”"

The new burger is available in both the standard and the smaller Jr. size for those who might be trying to watch their waistline.

Sounds like a winner to us. The new Chili Cheese Burger will only be available for a limited time.
