Life is busy and many of us hate the dreaded task of figuring out what’s for dinner. Freshly is a meal delivery service that is here to help with your breakfast, lunch and dinner needs. Their globally inspired menu of meal options can help you “travel the world” without leaving your home.
Unlike many meal subscription services, Freshly provides chef and nutritionist developed, already-cooked meals. There are no recipe cards or boxes of ingredients to cook. Your meal is shipped fresh and ready to heat up and eat. This is perfect for foodies who like flavorful dishes but don’t have the time or desire to cook.
Freshly has meal options for many diet restrictions including: gluten-free, dairy-free, plant-based, carb-smart and calorie-conscious. The menu items are rotated, so you’ll see different options throughout your subscription. As part of their globally-inspired menu, you can enjoy Argentine-inspired Chimichurri Rojo Seared Steak that’s served with herbed mushrooms, asparagus and cauliflower rice. They also currently have a Chicken Tikka Masala served with Seven-Spice Vegetable Biryani. Plant-based options currently include Indian-Spiced Red Lentil Dal and a Thai Green Curry Bowl. These meals sound and look delicious!
If you’re looking to add breakfast to your order, current menu options include an Andouille Sausage Morning Scramble with Spanish-Style Potatoes and Queso Sauce, Coconut Purple Rice Porridge with Blueberry, Peach and Toasted Pecans and an Egg and Cheddar Breakfast Scramble with Gravy, Spinach and Sweet Potatoes.
Freshly meal delivery has many globally inspired menu options!
The Freshly site displays the different meal options beautifully plated, out of the packaging. However, I like to click on the menu item and view an image of how the dish will come packaged when it arrives at my door. While plating these meals is encouraged, I’m not sure how many of us will want to unnecessarily dirty a dish! You’re welcome to heat and eat without removing your meal from the shipped packaging.
Meal plans include between 4 to 12 meals per week. I like that most meals are single serving, so if you have multiple people in your household, you can each choose the meals that appeal to you and your diet preference. As with most delivery services, the more meals you select on your plan, the cheaper each unit costs. The maximum number of meals that can be ordered is 12, for a total cost of $115. This breaks down to cost $9.58 a meal.
If a fresh meal subscription doesn’t fit in your personal lifestyle, you might know of someone who would enjoy this meal delivery service. Good news: Freshly offers gift subscriptions. The holidays are coming and a subscription gift card will make an excellent gift!
