Episode 4 of Bobby’s Triple Threat is here and with it a new challenger has arrived to take on our foodie titans. This time it is Adriana Urbina going up against our three Titans.

While Bobby’s Triple Threat has already proven that Michael Voltaggio, Brooke Williamson, and Tiffany Derry are forces to be reckoned with in the kitchen, it has also shown us that there are still chances for them to be taken down by an amazing chef. So what will happen when Chef Adriana Urbina steps into the kitchen?

It really is anyone’s game in this arena especially considering Chef Adriana has not one, but three Chopped titles to her name!

Bobby’s Triple Threat sees the Titans take on Chef Adriana Urbina

For the first round of the competition, Chef Adriana chose to challenge Michael Voltaggio after Bobby Flay gave the chef her two must use ingredients of Red Snapper and Mangoes. With 40 minutes on the clock and two dishes to make, this first round will definitely set the stage for what is to come.

Chef Michael is doing one raw dish and one cooked dish, and we quickly learned that Chef Adriana was doing something similar. In both kitchens, the chefs were all about bringing the flavors and bringing interest to their dishes.

This first round seemed to go by in the blink of an eye and didn’t seem to be problematic for either chef. So now it was time for the judging. And the judge for this episode of Bobby’s Triple Threat was none other than Chef Michelle Bernstein.

There were a few criticisms when it came to the reactions to the first chef’s dishes, which was Michael Voltaggio. And he wasn’t alone in getting some criticisms from our judge, as Adriana Urbina also seemed to struggle with making the two mandatory ingredients a star in their own way.

So after that judging, how did the two chefs score? In the end, Michael Voltaggio earned 7 out of 10 points, while Adriana Urbina also earned 7 out of 10.

Heading into the second round, Bobby Flay revealed that the two ingredients the chefs had to use were Scallops and Avocado. And the titan that Chef Adriana chose was Brooke Williamson.

Once again, it is 40 minutes on the clock and two dishes that need to be made. Chef Brooke is doing one cooked scallop dish and one raw presentation, much like the way Chef Michael treated the fish in the first round. And yes, Chef Adriana is going in the same direction with her dishes as well.

But, the big thing that both chefs are paying attention to this time is presentation. Because in the first round, the presentation of the dishes was something that Chef Michelle pointed out to both chefs during the judging.

After another round that seemed to fly by without a lot of drama, it was once again time for the judging. This time, there seemed to be less criticisms from our judge, which was actually really nice, but it did leave us wondering how the judging would shake out.

For this round, Chef Adriana earned 5 out of 10 points, while our titan earned 8 out of 10. This meant that the scores were 12 to 15 in favor of the titans.

In the final round it was Tiffany Derry versus our competitor. And with 20 points on the line, this is anyone’s game. For this round the ingredients chosen by Adriana Urbina was hearts of palm and dried purple corn.

This time there are 45 minutes on the clock and only one dish needs to be made. And up first Chef Adriana is making a duck dish with the purple corn, while she will make the hearts of palm two ways. Over in Tiffany Derry’s side of the kitchen, she is making a Halibut dish with the purple corn as a crust and a hearts of palm salad.

In this round, there were certainly a few challenges for both chefs, even with the ingredients being Chef Adriana’s pick. And once the time ran out, it was time for the final judging for the $25,000 prize.

For the final judging, Chef Adriana earned herself 15 out of 20 points, while Chef Tiffany Derry earned 17 out of 20 points. This meant that winner was once again the titans with 32 points versus 27 points earned by the challenger.
